Magic Rugs

Hello to all of our lovely friends and customers!

I’ve been quiet around here because we have experienced a lot of changes over the last few months. Mahmoud and I have divorced, and he opened a store in NYC. We have left our spot in Canton.

Our daughter and I still live in Houston and plan to stay here. I still operate our Etsy store (with my helper - pictured!), and I am still available to sell vintage rugs to anyone who may want to reach out.

I wanted to give you all an update and assure you we are doing just fine :) I am going to keep this page as I decide in what direction I will move with it. I love rugs and weaving so much, so I don’t plan to ever fully leave them!

We’re at Canton this weekend, and one of us is happy enough to be dancing on tables!

PS these are our handwoven double-sided machine washable rugs we custom designed. We have two sizes and a dozen different colors!

After a month away working at markets, we are pretty happy to have baba .the.weaver back home!

Arizona and California friends: Magic Rugs is a day trip away from you this month! We’ve set up shop at Tyson Wells in Quartzsite, AZ. Mahmoud is weaving his tapestries there, and he’s brought our whole collection of new and vintage carpets!

Happy new year from two of us! The third is holding down the fort at Canton First Monday this weekend!

Need a place to walk off a big meal? Canton First Monday Market is open all weekend! And we finally have some perfect autumnal Texas weather!

Happy Halloween! We loved trick or treating at the Canton town square. It was truly beewitching! Thank you to the small businesses that helped make it a blast! We don’t live here, but we’re in town for the First Monday Market. I’m so glad we were able to do something fun tonight!

Tomorrow and all weekend long we’re open for business in The Arbors 2, near the food court. Rain or shine we are here!

Magic Rugs is all set up for the Round Top Antique Market! This is our favorite place to be because we get to spread out and show our whole carpet collection! We have so much to look at - all different sizes, styles, and materials.

Boho, traditional, and modern. Prized antiques and new machine-washable rugs. We have it all!

Visit us at Tree Park Field in Warrenton. It’s a great place to park because you can walk to the other fields from here!
