This past week was interesting as it brought me my first consignment deal. I had a buddy looking to sale his Snap On multimeter, and he offered me a very reasonable price that I could've made money on. BUT, I have never bought and sold tools before, so I offered to handle selling it and taking a small flat rate amount to deal with listing it and shipping it, so on so forth. That way if it sells, he gets paid more, I make a flat amount, and if it didn't sell, I wouldn't be out of pocket a sizeable amount for something that's sitting too long. We sold this multimeter in literally about 10 hours from listing it, he made about $40 more than if he just straight out sold it to me, I made my commission at zero risk, and the buyer got a solid deal so everyone came out a winner on the transaction. Definitely considering doing a few more consignments in the future for sure!

Wednesday I went out sourcing and came across my oldest item purchased to date; I found this 1938 Pilot 402 series made in the United States for if you can believe it, 90 cents! I went ahead and started to clean it up a bit and actually instead of selling it for the value of $25-30 online, I'm actually gifting it to someone that really wanted something like this for a long time. Definitely a Rad find!

Is this thing on?
Hey guys! And thanks for liking my resale page! I wanted to share my first flip with you all, since this is the first post I might as well start with the beginning. One day a few years ago I went to Ross after work to find some cheap walking shoes for work, when I just so happened to see some familiar polyurethane soles with some stitching around the bottom as I was scanning the rack for something for myself. Upon walking up to see why some Doc Martens appeared to have pink stitching instead of the infamous yellow, my eyes grew large as I literally said out loud to myself "holy s**t, that's fu**in Sid Vicious!" At a price tag of $35 and 2 sizes too big, I picked them up regulardless knowing they were extremely rare and undervalued at that price, and a listing on ebay sold them a few days later at just shy of $220. That, to this day is one of my most profitable flips, and one that'll always have a close place to my heart as it's the item that started it all. I've been a fan of Docs for years so I know the brand well, and I do occasionally listen to the S*x Pistols so it made a perfect match for an English boot maker to collaborate with an infamous English punk band. After this flip, it really got the ball rolling for me just thinking that if I made over a $100 profit just by shopping smart somewhere and having an open mind about resaleing, it's started me along the path of buying more pairs of shoes some weekends than most of us would ever own in a single lifetime. So that ladies and gentlemen, is what started my fascination with buying and selling Radical and Retro items.
