Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Jude 3 "Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people." Today I am waiting to see if I will be put on a jury. While I wait, I felt led to read the very short book of Jude. Although I've read it several times before I was struck afresh with what a powerful punch this New Testament book throws. Are we intentional to contend for the faith entrusted to us? Where are you reading in God's Word?
2 Peter 2:18-24 "You who are slaves must accept the authority of your masters with all respect. Do what they tell you—not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are cruel. For God is pleased with you when you do what you know is right and patiently endure unfair treatment. Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed."

Living by faith in the One who sacrificed His life in love for you and me!
Gal. 2:20
Romans 12:18 "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." This verse keeps going through my head today. Thought it might speak to others too.
I Peter 2:13-17 For the Lord’s sake, respect all human authority—whether the king as head of state, or the officials he has appointed. For the king has sent them to punish those who do wrong and to honor those who do right. It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you. For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. Respect everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God, and respect the king.
Psalm 73:23-26 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men. Titus 3:1-2 Currently, I am listening to an audio book of the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer who was a great theologian during the time of Hi**er. This challenging passage of scripture reminds me of his life and the way he and other godly men and women were led by God to handle submission and obedience to authority when it is a very difficult thing to do.
