Every musician, writer, dancer, choreographer, and videographer on this project has poured in years of work long before their careers even began. And when they come together? Magic happens.

We’re excited to introduce the powerhouse duo behind this Friday’s event: Bonnie Diggs and Bethany Logan.
Bonnie Diggs is a Houston-based violinist with over a decade of experience. A New Orleans native, she earned her violin performance degree from Loyola University, where recording projects sparked her love for exploring new genres. Classically trained yet creatively fearless, she’s collaborated with rock cover bands, Two Star Symphony, and other eclectic artists. Bonnie is also the founder and artistic director of Pluto Soundz, a non-traditional string quartet that blends original compositions, percussive techniques, and contemporary storytelling.
Bethany Logan is a dancer, choreographer, teaching artist, and certified fitness/yoga professional. She holds a BFA in Dance & Choreography from Ohio University and has trained internationally, including studying Gaga in Italy and working with Navdhara India Dance Theatre in Mumbai. After performing extensively in New York, she founded Wild She Dances in 2019. Now based in Houston, she serves in artistic and administrative roles with Vitacca, teaches through Hope Stone Inc., and performs with several local companies.

Pluto turns 5 years old this December — what a ride it’s been! ✨

As we gear up for our biggest show yet, I’ve been reflecting on a question we get all the time:
“What is Pluto Soundz?”
What began as a personal experiment has grown into a mission. Our slogan has always been: Pluto is “technically not a planet”… and we are “technically, not a band.” And honestly? We’ve loved living in that space between.

We started as a small string trio exploring what our instruments could do outside the orchestral hall — arranging Christmas music for friends and family in a moment when connection felt hard to find.

Since then, we’ve grown from trio to quartet, band to organization, and through all the beautiful growing pains of our little dwarf planet. Through every change, two things have remained at the heart of Pluto: People and Music.

In five years, we’ve written original music, built our percussive/groove skills, collaborated with artists across genres, and met so many of you. Hearing how our music resonates with you is truly the greatest gift. Thank you for loving us, supporting us, and growing with us. 💛

And now… our biggest show ever is happening 12.12.25! Presented in part by Houston Arts Alliance Let’s Get Creative initiative, we’re teaming up with the incredible dance company Wild She Dances , with choreography by Bethany Logan. This performance will be held at Sawyer Yards inside the rice Silos.
