🚨 UPDATE: More workers are coming forward alleging wage theft and harsh conditions at the multi-billion-dollar LBJ Hospital expansion project in Northeast Houston.

Former worker Tanya McMillen shared pay stubs with FOX 26 showing a drastic drop in pay despite her advanced credentials, saying workers feel forced to “settle for less” just to keep their jobs.

The 12-story project is funded by a $2.5B taxpayer-approved bond. In response, Harris Health issued the following statement:

“As this workforce is comprised of members of our community, Harris Health and its Board of Trustees take the prevailing wage issue very seriously and as such have required all project contractors and subcontractors to comply with prevailing wage requirements and all applicable labor laws from the inception of this critical community investment.”

🚨HOUSTON-AREA MOSQUES ON HIGH ALERT 🚨

In the wake of Monday’s tragic mosque shooting in San Diego, Fort Bend County leaders and CAIR-Texas gathered today to address a deeply concerning rise in anti-Muslim hate closer to home.

Officials revealed that an individual recently yelled slurs inside the Ismaili Center in downtown Houston. While thankfully no one was injured, local law enforcement isn’t taking any chances. Fort Bend County authorities are officially increasing patrols around local mosques during prayer times as a precaution.

There are an estimated 500,000 Muslims living in the greater Houston area. In Fort Bend County alone, major mosques like the Maryam Islamic Center see upwards of 3,000 worshippers every Friday—with nearly 1,000 people gathering for each hourly prayer.

Leaders emphasize there is no current active threat, but say heightened security is vital to ensuring these houses of worship remain safe sanctuaries.

Even though the Spirit Shutdown is still affecting thousands of former employees, the support for pilots like Brandon Keene isn't stopping. ✈️🔨

The Pilot Network recently stepped up to offer free registration for former Spirit pilots at their TPNx conference in Dallas, recognizing that losing a dream job is a "gut punch" no one should navigate alone.

While today was the final day for this specific event, it's a powerful reminder of how the aviation community is rallying to help local flyers get back into the cockpit.

Keeping our fingers crossed that Brandon and his 2,000+ peers find their next "flying home" soon. 🤞
