According to the world bank, “Sierra Leone’s economy contracted by 2% as the COVID-19 pandemic led to slowdown in all sectors following global supply chain disruptions and lockdown measures. GDP per capita fell by 4% in 2020, reversing some of the recent gains in poverty reduction”.
This is most evident in the rural areas as they are left unnoticed. The rural economy is plundering and it will lead to more deprivation and underdevelopment those that bear the most burnt are the children as they cannot take care of themselves they are forced to child labor to be able to eat.

Education is important for everybody, whether they are learning new facts, skills, or trades. Having the opportunity to learn always benefits the individual. Educating communities means developing schools and educating children and leaders. By doing so, rural communities will lead to a healthier and more sustainable future.Education can lead to many positive outcomes, such as an improved ability to understand policies, procedures, rights, duties, government schemes, legislation, available benefits, and protection laws.
It is important to understand the need for good quality education in rural areas, as it helps keep rural areas populated. Young people move to urban areas for better opportunities in education and employment, improved rural education is one possible strategy for keeping them in rural areas.

Rural poverty in Sierra Leone is widespread and deep. About 26 per cent of the people are food-insecure and cannot afford a basic diet, while 75 percent live below the poverty line.
Widespread regional disparity exists in the incidence of poverty, with rural areas − where two thirds of the population live − being the hardest hit (Global Food and Nutrition Security may 7 2021). With this it deem fit that actions should be taken to better address these poverty issues with available resources and associates to solve them that will benefit communities and foster national development.

EDUCATION IN SIERRA LEONE:

Education in Sierra Leone has been a challenge. The devastating Sierra Leone civil war that lasted from 1991 to 2002 took the nation's education system as an early casualty, wiping out 1,270 primary schools and forcing 67 percent of all- school-aged children out of school in the year 2001. More than a decade later, Education in Sierra Leone is still recovering from the destruction caused by the conflict. The first nine years of education are compulsory, but this law remains virtually impossible to enforce due to the shortage of facilities left in the war's wake. The west African nation continues to struggle with its schools, training teachers, and Educating children who have never stepped foot inside of a classroom. The system of education in Sierra Leone comprises three basic levels: primary, junior secondary, senior secondary. Despite these opportunities, Education in Sierra Leone continues to face significant hurdles, more than 40 percent of primary school teachers are untrained. There is also a massive shortage of textbooks, furniture, structures, etc. And it is not uncommon for four or five students to share a single book.

EDUCATION Our first objective is education which forms the backbone of every society of which the rural communities are deprived of and this foundation is a means to educate the public about present education system in these communities and gather resources to support or enhance the education system not only formal (in class) but also informal education for public and environmental safety of which have a productive society.

Foundation Purpose:

We serve as a response and help to provide relief to the needy who are poor and underpreviledge. We strive to combat the deterioration of the community and do social service for the betterment of the people, we help the needy people and provide them a safer environment to live a better life.
