Gluten Free Dumplings Restock! In addition to our Wagyu Beef and Vegan Dumplings we are also adding Chicken and Wild Caught Shrimp! Frozen Gluten Free Dumplings are the perfect snack or meal easy to prepare with just a pan with a lid. Tag your gluten free friends and family to share handmade dumplings with them! DM us to reserve a bag to pick up at the farmers market (Saturdays) or Montrose commissary during the week!

Our Sesame Noodles are perfect while it starts to warm up this spring! You might remember these at our brick and mortar but we’ve added arugula and even have gluten free and vegan options! Add a refreshing Strawberry Matcha or Immunity Juice with fresh squeezed OJ, carrots, ginger and turmeric!

Featuring the delicious brisket from our friends our fluffy, soft steamed buns (baozi) are the perfect food to welcome the new year. Both dumplings and baozi represent prosperity and wealth for the coming year and are traditional eaten to welcome good fortune in Chinese culture.

After a fun snow day we were inspired to bring back our fan favorite beef noodle soup! Our beef noodle soup kit makes for the perfect meal at home after a cold winter’s day with our flavorful spiced beef bone broth paired with the acidity of pickled mustard greens and chewy thick noodles. Grab a kit to make at home. All you need is a pot to heat up the soup and cook the noodles (5 min).

We are bringing back some fan favorites to the .htx holiday market! Ginger scallion bowl with your choice of chicken or mushrooms to warm up during our Houston “winter” served with cucumbers and crispy shallots (gluten-free, vegan optional). Red chili oil wontons (chicken or vegan) topped with your favorite Szechuan chili sauce for that tingly spice. Last but not least we will be serving our Wagyu Beef and chive dumplings featuring wagyu from our friends 🤤 Grab an order or two or a jar of one of our signature sauces that make perfect holiday gifts!

How we began
Elaine grew up following her dad around in the kitchen in Guangzhou, China. Her father managed the cafeteria of a warehouse where he worked with many people from Northern China who taught him how to make food from their region including dumplings, traditionally a Northern Chinese dish due to the abundance of wheat grown in the cold climate. Every Chinese New Year people eat dumplings, whose shape resemble ancient Chinese gold ingots, for the first meal to represent prosperity and wealth in the coming year. Her family loved eating dumplings, and every week Elaine sat around the table with her father and brother making dumplings, one rolling out wrappers, one wrapping dumplings, and one cooking them.
After moving to the USA, Elaine tried finding dumplings that reminded her of the ones she had back in China, unfortunately she could not find them. She began making dumplings of all varieties and inviting her friends over to share in her cooking. Elaine had the chance to share her favorite dishes at Dumpling Haus’s first pop-up at a local coffee shop in 2016. Since that first pop-up, Dumpling Haus has partnered with local watering holes, farmer markets, and city-wide events to share the joy of eating handmade dumplings made with the finest ingredients!
