More than 7,000 truckers reportedly sidelined for English proficiency violations Transportation Secretary said on Thursday that 7,248 truck drivers have been placed out of service for failing English proficiency tests.

Gov. Kevin Stitt said the operation resulted in the apprehension of more than 125 illegal truck drivers from such countries as India, Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Tajikstan, Ukraine and Mauritania.
