After touring Gracewood and learning about our mission, the Seasoned Sassy Sisters Network felt called to pour into our moms in a special way.

This past weekend, they returned to campus to lead an encouraging workshop filled with personal testimonies, worship, inspiration, and fellowship. Their mission is to uplift and empower women by reminding them of their identity in Christ and the unique purpose God has for their lives.

As part of their "Purses 4 a Purpose" initiative, each mom received a gently used handbag filled with personal care items and essentials. The mothers who attended expressed heartfelt gratitude for the encouragement and generosity they experienced.

Thank you, Seasoned Sassy Sisters Network, for blessing our Gracewood families!

Today reminds us of the meaningful impact faithful fathers and father figures have in the lives of children. We give thanks for their influence and for our Heavenly Father, whose love is constant and good.

There were big smiles, heartfelt gratitude, and plenty of reasons to celebrate at Gracewood's annual SOAR Awards!

This special event recognizes the hard work and accomplishments of the mothers and children in our program over the past year. From paying off debt and earning job promotions to completing program milestones and receiving school awards, each achievement was celebrated as a step toward a brighter future.

We are so proud of our Gracewood moms for their perseverance and determination, and we loved recognizing our children for their academic successes and promotions to the next grade level.

The SOAR Awards are a beautiful reminder of why Gracewood exists—to provide home for now and hope for the future.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 (NASB)

Behind every statistic is a mother working hard to provide for her children and create a brighter future.

In Harris County, 37% of single-mother families live in poverty. Many face challenges such as affordable housing, childcare, transportation, and financial stability while striving to build a better life for their families.

At Gracewood, we come alongside mothers and children by providing safe housing, support, life-skills training, and encouragement as they work toward long-term independence and success.

Together, we can help families find home, hope, and healing.
