🏁 Mini-Z Season 8 | Round 2 Recap 🏁

We had the pleasure of hosting Round 2 of our Mini-Z Season 8 — and the “10 Second Track” absolutely delivered 🔥

From wheel-to-wheel battles to nonstop laughs in the pits, the energy was awesome from start to finish. By the end of the event, we logged nearly **2,500 official laps** across **49 entries** 🤯👏

Huge thanks to everyone who came out, raced hard, marshaled, and made Round 2 such a fun event. Season 8 is officially underway 🚀🔥

Some fun facts that stand out:
🏁 Closest Finish of the Day
Devin Fults edged out Kyle Rains in the HRC 3500 Super Stock A-Main by just 0.020 seconds after 23 laps. (Q2) That's essentially a photo finish.

👑 Triple-Podium Performance
Kyle Rains collected three podium finishes in a single event:
1st in F1
2nd in HRC 3500 Super Stock
2nd in Modified

🔥 Most Dominant Win
William Sanchez was the only qualifier to reach 24 laps, taking the Modified TQ spot and completing a lap more than the rest of the field.

🚀 Double Class Winner
Vincent Vadon won both HRC 2500 Stock Touring and Kyosho Masters, making him the only driver to WIN multiple A-Main victories.

👨‍👦 Family on the Podium
The Vadons put together a strong day:
Vincent won HRC 2500 and Masters.
Paul finished 4th in HRC 2500 and 3rd in Masters.

📈 Best Bump-Up Result
John Ma bumped from the HRC 2500 B-Main and fought his way to a 3rd-place podium finish in the A-Main.

🏆 Most Competitive Podium
HRC 3500 Super Stock had the tightest top three:
Devin Fults (1st)
Kyle Rains (2nd)
John Ma (3rd)
All three finished on the same lap, separated by only seconds.

🎯 Podiums Across Multiple Classes
Kyle Rains, Vincent Vadon, and William Sanchez all stood on the podium in more than one class, proving versatility across different chassis and driving styles.

Yesterday the arena was PACKED with RC action! 🏁 Our 1/10 OffRoad buggies & stadium trucks were battling it out on the track, while upstairs the Mini-Z practice sessions were heating up 🔥 And of course, the crawler courses were full of wild lines and nonstop fun! 🤘

Big congrats to all the podium finishers! 🏆

This past Sunday’s Funday turned into an RC crawling adventure! 🏁 HoustonRC’s volunteers hosted our Rock Crawling Competition (1/32-1/10) - June Edition, and it did not disappoint.

Across 3 courses, they tackled everything from 1/32 to 1/10 crawler rigs. Each course brought its own challenge—real boulders, custom rock features, water crossings, sketchy bridges, connex containers, tunnels, and more. It felt like a full-on expedition every run.

By the end, we logged 110 official runs, with 55 unique class entries! Drivers ranged from age 19 to 68!

We also refined our scoring system—no paper, all digital and had LIVE scoring updates every minute displayed on screens. Official results were finalized within 7 minutes of the last person finishing their run!

Huge thank you to all the volunteers and judges who helped run a smooth 5-hour event. We couldn’t do this without you 🙌

**Fun Facts from the June Crawl Comp:**
🏁 **Fastest Overall 1/10 Course Time:** Josh Tulley driving the Vanquish Mullet in C2. Not only was it the fastest run of the day for C2, but it also outran every C3 rig... including Josh’s own C3 rig.

👶 **Youngest Competitor:** Ava Horn (19). Proof that crawler addiction starts early.

🔬 **Most Popular Micro & Mini Brand:** Axial. Apparently tiny tires continue to have a huge fan base.

🚙 **Most Popular 1/10 Brand:** Vanquish. The numbers don’t lie.

💪 **Ironman Award (Most Classes Entered):** Darryl Mackie. While everyone else was taking breaks, Darryl was apparently signing up for another class.

👉 Missed it? Don’t worry! The courses are open Wednesday through Sunday—come give them a shot.

🚨 Next up: July Competition (limited spots per class), sign up in person or through our website.

🏁 OnRoad Season 3, Round 2 | 6/7/26 🏁

What a weekend at Houston RC! From EuroTrucks to lightning-fast 1/12 Pancars, OnRoad Season 3, Round 2 delivered nonstop action, close battles, and incredible driving.

With 65 entries across 8 classes, racers completed an impressive **3,446 official laps** around a layout that produced some epic wheel-to-wheel racing and record-chasing pace. Several classes saw consistency percentages climb into the upper 90s—a testament to the talent and dedication of our racers. 🔥

A huge thank you to our volunteers for helping prepare and run the event, and congratulations to all of our podium finishers! 👏🏆

Missed this round? No worries! Season 3 consists of **6 rounds with 1 drop**, so there’s still plenty of racing ahead. We’d love to see you at the next one.

Fun Facts from the Event:
🏆 Double Winner:
Aaron Correa captured the Euro Truck class and finished 2nd in GT12, making him one of the strongest performers of the day.

😮 Winner by DQ:
Wesley Ward won Houston RC Cup Cars (after the unofficial winner got DQed).

🔥 Closest Finishes
GT12 was incredibly tight:
Derek Lang: 29 laps in 5:03.976
Aaron Correa: 29 laps in 5:04.350
Margin of victory: just 0.374 seconds.

NASCAR A-Main was another thriller:
Dustin Gum: 25 laps in 5:06.759
Josh Tulley: 25 laps in 5:07.565
Margin: 0.806 seconds.

😮 Fun Fact
The M-Chassis class ended up with all registered A-Main drivers recording DNS results, making it the only class without a completed race result.

Midweek Madness Racing - 6/3/26

Fun night of Onroad racing with our 1/12 Pancars and 1/10 Touring cars! From the first heat to the mains, the energy was high and the competition was even higher. With a great mix of returning drivers and fast locals, the pace kept ramping up—Every class brought tight battles, clean racing, and some seriously impressive driving. It’s always awesome to see new faces come out and push the regulars, raising the level for everyone on the track.
