Creole in the City Louisiana Kitchen will be permanently located at 3731 Wheeler Avenue in Houston’s Historic Third Ward.

Starting Saturday, June 6, we will be serving Louisiana-style BBQ plate lunches along with a rotating selection of Louisiana favorites on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 10:30 AM.

While waiting on the completion of our mobile food trailer, we will be implementing our weekend delivery service throughout Third Ward, Midtown, and Downtown Houston.

A pre-order delivery and pick-up system has been successful for us in the past, and we’re excited to bring that same convenience and service to Houston.

Ordering is simple—just send us a text. We will respond with a confirmation and coordinate your delivery or pick-up.

Online ordering and payment systems are coming soon.

Me and then Chirren moved to Third Ward a little over three years ago and it instantly became home. Third Ward feels like the Harlem Renaissance meets present day — Black excellence!

Folk in Third Ward are still fighting the good fight while staying vigilant through the steady undercurrents of gentrification.

I count myself blessed to be part of this historic, soulful community.

Restarting and rebranding my food ventures was always the plan, but history and valuable lessons taught me not to rush. I told myself when the time and the space were right, I’d know when to move.

Well… the time is right and the space is right.
God really showed out!!

I’ll be setting up shop at the corner of Wheeler Avenue and Scott Street… if you know, you know! What looks like a vacant lot today will be transformed over the next 90 days into an open-air farmers market and restaurant space complete with my food truck, Creole in the City, offering authentic Louisiana-style plate lunches,a solid short-order, and all the good stuff from home!
Our family meat market, Gradney’s Smokehouse, will also operate from the location offering authentic Creole specialty and smoked meat products (smoked sausage-Tasso-wings-necks- boudin-hog head cheese..etc).

I’ve also opened the space up to another food truck bringing their own flavor, great food, and energy to the lot — helping make the space a true destination for good eats, good vibes, professionalism, culture, and community.

We will also host an open-air farmers market featuring vendors ranging from agriculture to the arts.
