Texas is wild. Plants moved inside because of a freeze happening tonight, but it was also 80 yesterday and I’ve still got figs from last season trying to ripen on this burgan unknown. Lol

First “ripened” fig of the season. It could have held on a little longer, but I couldn’t wait to eat it! This is a brown turkey. Mild berry flavor with some seed crunch.

Working on a high density espalier with my figs. 2 rows of 4 in a 10 x 5 section. This project will take a while but I can’t wait to see it take shape!

Black Madeira KK. They say these are hard to root, started them on 6/3 and I’ve got 3 out of 10 rooting already as of this morning. I’ll have some extras 😊
