The kids had a blast with Jenga, Checkers, Bingo, Hula Hoop jumping, painting ornaments, coloring and sticker activities, taking selfies, line dancing, bowling, and collecting as much candy as they carry on our life-size CandyLand game! Huge thanks to the event planning team on our Mentor Advisory Committee for taking the lead to plan such a fantastic event! The Crossroads CandyLand Christmas Kickback was truly a success! Great turnout! Amazing energy! With more than 300 individuals served and EVERYONE left with gifts! Bikes, gift cards, electronics, STEM kits and toys were given away every 10 minutes! We want to thank our partners and sponsors for their amazing support: Morefield Boys & Girls Club, HISD Sunrise Centers, Chick-Fil-A, Bethel's Heavenly Hands, Inc., the Houston Health Department as well as our enthusiastic army of volunteers! We appreciate your generosity and willingness to serve the students and families of HISD. And for those who didn’t know, the fun doesn’t stop here, we give back all year long! This week, Crossroads Mentoring and Houston Partnership for Success teamed-up to serve the community at HISD’s Free Food Distribution. In collaboration with the Houston Food Bank, HISD Sunrise Centers are addressing food insecurity and providing meal distributions that are open to all families. As HISD community partners, it’s an honor to collaborate and serve greater Houston in this way!

The Crossroads Mentoring Team is out recruiting today at the Sterling Aviation High School Homecoming Festival! We are celebrating hoco and signing up mentees and mentors for the program!
