It’s a new year, 2026, and I have a new single coming out this week on the UK Hotdisc.  I wrote this song with the late great Richard Addrisi of “Never My Love” fame. We always had a great time together and I’m excited to release this song and dedicate it to his beautiful soul and his wonderful life. Rest in peace my friend. The song is called “To You from Me”. please check out the video I did with fiber and I’m grateful for the thousands of views we’ve already received.

Starting the tour off in my new hometown, Kerrville, Texas....Friday night, July 6th I sit in with the amazing Dickie Kaiser at the 5D Steakhouse Kerrville. Starts at 7 PM. Then the following Friday on 12 of July, I play for the first time in Comfort Texas at America Reclaimed, Longhorn lounge. 5 PM to 8 PM. I'm very excited to get to play that little spot. I love it. The next day, July 13, I will be doing a solo from 7 to 10 PM at 5D Steakhouse Kerrville Texas. Of course I always appreciate you guys turning out to hearing my songs. I know you have plenty to do. I also get to go see Elle Townley Music perform in Bandara AND we cut a new vocal at Anthem Studio on one of our new originals. The studio is always fun for me!

On this day in 1975, the Glen Campbell single “Rhinestone Cowboy” debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at #81 (May 31)

"Rhinestone Cowboy" was written and originally recorded by Larry Weiss, a Brooklyn songwriter whose credits include "Bend Me, Shape Me" by The American Breed.
The song appeared on his album “Black and Blue Suite”.

It originated when Weiss overheard the phrase, "Rhinestone Cowboy" in a conversation. He told American Songwriter magazine September/October 1984: "I heard the phrase and thought, 'Boy, I like that title'. I put my own meaning to it and wrote the song.

I'll always be a kid at heart, and 'Rhinestone Cowboy' was sort of a summation of all my childhood cowboy movie heroes - particularly Hopalong Cassidy."

In late 1974, Campbell heard the song on the radio and, during a tour of Australia, decided to learn it.

After its release, the song became a huge hit around the world.

It went all the way to #1 in the US, Canada, Ireland, and Yugoslavia, #2 in New Zealand and South Africa, #3 in the Netherlands, #4 in the UK and Belgium, and #5 in Australia.

Campbell performed this song at the Grammy Awards ten years ago in 2012, where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

My lake is almost full again. I thought it would never come back, but God had a better plan. Thank you for the support and love you give me in my music...friends, family and God. I'm forever grateful.

I'm pretty excited about heading back to Texas for a few weeks on Friday. I will be performing at the 5D Steakhouse Kerrville Texas, 7 PM to 9 PM on May 18th. I've got a small gang coming, but I could always use more. It's a good steakhouse, reasonably priced drinks, and easy location just off the I 10. I would think reservations would be a good idea on a Saturday night. Come on in and hear my brand of music. My beautiful sister, Donna McClintock, is in town too.
