It’s official! The Houston Astros are playoff bound once again after clinching the AL West division title Sunday afternoon while playing the A’s. Houston was leading 9-0 in the 8th inning when the Rangers lost to the Twins. The loss by Texas clinched the AL West title.

Houston police say a 17-year-old suspect has been taken into custody in connection to the shooting that killed Westbury High School student LePaul Warren Friday.

Chief Diaz says the suspect is not enrolled at any Houston ISD school. Right now, police don’t know what the motive was for the killing. They also aren’t sure how the suspect and victim know each other, but believe there is some connection between the two, possibly over social media.

A family member has identified the victim of this morning’s deadly school shooting as LePaul Warren, who was a senior at Westbury High School in southwest Houston.

Warren, 17, was a wide receiver and starter on the school’s varsity football team and a shooting guard for varsity basketball.
