Redbud Arts Center Presents Emerging Visions 2026
We are proud to present Emerging Visions 2026, a juried exhibition featuring outstanding work by undergraduate and graduate students from colleges and universities throughout the Greater Houston area and within a 100 mile radius.
Juried by Clare Elliott, independent curator, appraiser, and founder of Elliott Art Advice, the exhibition highlights emerging artists working across a variety of media and perspectives. Selected from a competitive pool of submissions, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the future of contemporary art in Houston.
Emerging Visions was established to provide student artists with the opportunity to exhibit in a professional gallery setting and to connect their work with a broader public audience. The exhibition reflects the diversity, creativity, and innovation found within Houston’s collegiate arts community.
“Emerging Visions gives young artists a professional platform at a pivotal moment in their careers,” said Tanja Peterson, Executive Director and Curator of Redbud Arts Center. “We are excited to share their work with the public and celebrate the next generation of creative voices.”

Lotte’s Take 🐾
I met Ellis Barber Ellis Barber a young artist with big ideas and even bigger creatures. I’m not sure if this red guy is a sculpture, a monster, or a very dramatic dog house, but I kept a close eye on it just in case.
Verdict: Ellis gets two paws up. The monster? Still under investigation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Dave Clark’s (Dave Clark) live demonstration yesterday.
It was a pleasure sharing a look into his creative process and watching these complex pieces come to life.
If you missed the event, you can still catch his solo exhibition, “Sardonic Short Stories,” at Redbud Arts Center. The show officially closes on the 27th of this month, so don’t miss out!

Lotte’s Take 🐾
Today I’m touring Rock Romano’s “This Is That” with the Executive Director. She says the paintings are full of color, movement, and imagination. I say they make an excellent backdrop for a gallery dog.
Come see what all the fuss is about.
The show runs through July 25, 2026.
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, noon to 5pm
Join us for a LIVE DEMO with Dave Clark (Dave Clark) this Saturday, June 6th! Get an inside look at his process, see how these incredible, sculptural pieces come together, and ask questions.
It’s completely free and open to the public. Feel free to drop by anytime between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to watch Dave work!

The Executive Director wants me to help with the lighting. Hugo and I have decided supervision is more our specialty.
