This past Sunday, I was honored to lead a song that resonates deeply with so many areas of my life. Moments like these remind me of the scripture that’s been my foundation since 2012: "Wherever you go, there you are my people” (Ruth 1:16-17).

For years, I poured my heart into serving God at the piano, leaving behind my confidence to lead a song. Recently, I’ve been called back to that very spot where my love for music began, and it’s brought me a renewed sense of joy and purpose. This journey has been one of self-discovery, growth, and gratitude—for "Thine is the Kingdom."

On November 22nd, 2019, one of my biggest dreams as a musician came true. I had always envisioned myself performing on a grand stage, playing multiple instruments, and sharing my story through music. That opportunity arrived when the University of Arizona’s International Students announced they would host the annual Global Students Got Talent at the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre. I reached out to my friend Ahmed, asking if he could interpret my composition through dance. Not only did he create an incredible choreography, but he also helped me structure the entire performance.

I went into this event with one goal: to enjoy the moment and share my passion for music. To my surprise and delight, our performance, titled “The Wildcat’s Journey,” won first place! The Wildcat, the mascot of the University of Arizona, symbolizes our pride and spirit. Through this piece, I wanted to share my journey during my time at the University and touch lives with my music, brought to life by Ahmed’s powerful performance.
