π Support the Fireworks That Light Up Our Sky!
The Washington Court House community has enjoyed a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display for years, and it doesn't happen without community support. Fayette Fire In The Sky β the dedicated volunteer organization behind the show β is holding a Drive-Through T-Shirt and Donation Event this Saturday, May 30th from 9 AM to 1 PM right here at the Washington Court House Fire/Rescue Department.
Pick up a limited edition 2025 T-shirt commemorating Washington Court House's 250th anniversary with a $10 donation. Every dollar raised goes directly toward funding this year's show, set for Friday, July 3rd at the Fayette County Fairgrounds.
A few things worth knowing about this organization:
𧨠The entire crew that shoots the show donates their time β every year.
π₯ The show is funded entirely by donations β no public funding, no admission charge.
π The bigger the community response, the bigger the show.
WVNU-FM 975 will also be on-site during the event, so stop by, grab a shirt, and show your support for a tradition that belongs to all of us.
As Fire Chief, I'm proud to support this group and encourage our community to do the same. Stop by this Saturday and let's make July 3rd one to remember.

π Congratulations to the Class of 2026! π
Whether you walked across that stage with honors or simply made it to the finish line β you did it. And that matters more than you know.
Earning a diploma isn't just about grades or accolades. It's about the early mornings, the late nights, the setbacks you pushed through, and the moments you chose to keep going when it would have been easier to quit. Every single one of you demonstrated something we deeply respect here at WCHFD β perseverance, heart, and commitment.
As you step into this next chapter, we hope the memories you made along the way stay with you always. May the lessons you learned β inside the classroom and out β guide your path forward. And may the road ahead bring you success, purpose, and everything you've worked so hard for.
To every graduate, from every corner of our community: we are proud of you. Now go make your mark on the world. π
