Right here in our backyard, the Center for Traditional Louisiana Boat Building is working to bring something truly special to Bayou Lafourche — a state-of-the-art boat museum and woodworking shop on the campus of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, right on the banks of the bayou.
This is more than a building — it’s a home for the pirogues, luggers, and flat-bottomed boats that built our culture, fed our families, and defined coastal Louisiana life for generations. The Center is in the middle of a capital campaign to make this vision a reality, and every dollar counts.
