Catholic Charities will continue the free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026.

Volunteer tax preparers will be at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library every Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. to assist with filing simple income tax returns for low incomes filers.

🎓October 30 – November 1 is the Jubilee of Education. 🎓

Every day, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux provides a pre-school education to children 1 – 4 years old through its St. Lucy Child Development Center.

From ABC’s to 123’s, we are preparing our children for kindergarten and beyond.

We ask for your continued prayers for the children and staff of St. Lucy as they build a foundation for success.

St. Lucy Child Development Center participated in Red Ribbon Week by providing fun activities to help teach our children about the dangers of drug use.

Activities included play time in a bounce house and crazy sock day.

Thank you to everyone who made this a fun day for our children.

St. Lucy Day Child Development Center received a generous donation of $16,000 for a playground cover from the Women's Giving Circle though the Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana. Thanks for your support through this wonderful gift and all of your prayers!
