Congress Did Not Reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program: Here's What NFIP Policyholders Need to Know Congress did not reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) by the Tuesday deadline, according to the Louisiana Department of Insurance.

WATER METER REPLACEMENT PROGRAM:

Consolidated Waterworks (TPCW) has partnered with Pedal Valves, Inc. to begin replacing the current Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), which includes installing new meters. This project will be ongoing until all 45,000 meters have been upgraded. The first phase will include the northernmost part of the parish and the Gibson area, approximately 10,000 meters, and should begin the week of October 6, 2025. Visit www.tpcw.org to learn more.

The gas system is at maximum operating pressure. Please conserve energy. Gas line pressure has been maximized to the limits of our infrastructure.

Conservation tip:
Lower the central thermostat to 68 degrees or the coolest comfortable temperature.

TPCG Utilities has restored power to Southdown #1 Feeder, which accounts for approximately 1,700 customers.

Crews will continue to work to restore power in a safe and efficient manner.

UPDATE FOR TPCG UTILITY CUSTOMERS

TPCG is diligently working to restore power to all customers. Power will return to customers as workers repair substations and feeder stations.

Check out what feeder your street falls under at the link below. While we do not have official ETAs for specific feeder stations, we anticipate power being returned to all customers by Sunday, September 15, 2024.

UPDATES ON POWER IN TERREBONNE PARISH

TPCG Utilities:
- We have successfully restored approximately 2,200/12,800 customers.
- Restoration to all feeders expected to be completed by September 15, 2024.

Entergy:
- Approximately 4,000/28,000 customers restored.
- 90% restoration expected by September 16, 2024.

SLECA:
- 4,000/13,000 residents restored.

Some residents are experiencing issues with gas pressure when using their gas generators.

This can be attributed to a variety of factors. Reach out to the Gas Distribution Division at (985) 873-6750 for assistance.

TPCG UTILITIES UPDATE

Utilities crews will be out to assess damage and begin repairs as soon as conditions are safe to do so.

We have several additional crews that have come from out of the area to assist with restoration efforts.
