Just finished a special project that I am I love with. This butterfly memory pillow is specially made from a loved one’s shirt. It wasn’t my vision I am happy to make it come together.

During this cold snowy week I made this outfit for our preK darling’s 1st 100 days of school. Mommy’s Krafting Korner did the lettering for me.

Now that I have given my teacher gifts I can share. I did a little experimenting with chair covers. Made birthday cup cake chair covers. They will go on the birthday students chair in the classroom for their special day.

Last couple of weeks with school starting I have been busy making classroom door window covers. These covers hang from a Dow rod with a eye the hooks onto command strips. They roll up and can be quickly dropped down to cover the window by pulling the strap to the sides. They can be made to fit any size window. The Cheetah print was a custom order with a window at the top so it can stay down but admin can still see in.

This is how far I got on staring my quilt. The pieces of one panel ready. I have five more panels to make. The plan is to work on it over the fall and winter and next summer go ans learn how to put it all together and quilt it. It is a labor of love and will take time.

This week I have started a project that is near and dear to my heart. In the process I am learning how to plan and piece together a quilt. I have done Appliqué quilts but this will be my first pieced quilt. This first panel is cut out ready to start sewing.

Another hem job completed. This time it was hemming sleeves on this jacket.

Trying it on and taking measurements for the hems. She is very happy. The veil she found to go with it is gorgeous.

Getting close the hem is all that is left.
