Elder Abuse Awareness Month Walk
What a beautiful day to come together in support of our elders during Elder Abuse Awareness Month. Under big blue skies, community members gathered for a walk through the beautifully maintained Site 8 area by the Kickapoo Housing Authority, sharing smiles, laughs, and a commitment to raising awareness about elder abuse.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our community partners at the Northeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging for walking alongside us and presenting valuable information about their programs and services. Their dedication to educating our community about elder abuse awareness and the resources available to older adults helps strengthen and protect our elders.
Our elders are the heart of our community and the keepers of our culture, history, and traditions. Together, we can help ensure they are treated with the dignity, respect, and care they deserve.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this important cause. Your presence made a difference and helped shine a light on the importance of protecting our elders.
