SOURDOUGH SCHOOL

#3 - Why does it take SO. DANG. LONG. To make…

It’s called fermentation…

Unlike bread that can be mixed, risen and baked pretty quickly, traditional sourdough goes through a longer fermentation process.

That time helps develop the flavor, aroma, texture and acidity that make sourdough…well…SOURDOUGH.

Good bread takes time!

This is Bubbles at work…getting ready to make up some cookie dough…

Okay, this one is personal…

#2 - Why do I love making sourdough?

I love the smell.

I love the process.

I love trying new flavors.

I love pulling a golden loaf out of the oven.

And I REALLY love when someone comes back and says…When can I get another one?

Sourdough started as something I wanted to learn…

and turned into something I absolutely LOVE doing.

Stay tuned for more with my Sourdough School series…
