The Gadsden Area Support Group recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Center for Cultural Arts, where our clients had the opportunity to experience and explore the exhibits on display. It was a great day of learning, creativity, and connection within our community.

Community engagement is an important part of AHIF's goals for our support groups. We believe that meaningful experiences in the local community help foster personal growth, social connections, and a greater sense of belonging. We always enjoy exploring local attractions and activities with our clients, and this visit was no exception.

Thank you to the Center for Cultural Arts for providing an enriching experience for our group. We look forward to many more opportunities to connect with and celebrate the communities we serve!

Today AHIF was in Montgomery meeting with the Executive Budget Office and hand-delivering copies of our latest newsletter.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share the work we do across Alabama, advocate for individuals and families affected by TBI and SCI, and highlight the impact of the programs and services we provide.

Every conversation helps build awareness and strengthen support for the communities we serve.

We have wrapped up the third and final day of AHIF’s Therapy Intensive at the University of Alabama, and are filled with gratitude for the incredible faculty, students, and clients who made this experience so meaningful!

Over the past three days, our clients received individualized support and participated in collaborative learning experiences with students from Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Nursing. The dedication, professionalism, and compassion demonstrated by these future healthcare professionals created an environment where learning and growth flourished for everyone involved.

A special thank you to the University of Alabama faculty and students for investing your time, expertise, and enthusiasm. Your willingness to engage with our clients and learn alongside them made a lasting impact.

We are proud of our clients for their participation and perseverance! 💚

Day 2 of Therapy Intensive at the University of Alabama! ❤️🐘

Today was another incredible day of learning, connection, and growth. Participants took part in both Speech Therapy and Audiology sessions, gaining valuable insights and tools to support communication and hearing health.

One of the highlights of the day was a special Caregiver Activity, providing caregivers with an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and focus on their own well-being while supporting their loved ones on this journey.

We are grateful for the dedicated professionals, caregivers, and participants who make this program so impactful. Every session brings new opportunities to learn, encourage one another, and celebrate progress.

Creativity and connection were on full display at last week’s Jefferson County Support Group meeting! 🌺✨
Members spent the afternoon designing colorful summer-inspired crafts, sharing laughs, meaningful conversations, and plenty of creativity along the way. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the joy that comes from community, friendship, and self-expression. 💚
