East End Hot Rods Hawaii
Promotion of classic car shows
FIVE-O MOTORS ON APRIL 20TH. From Noon to 3 PM on the Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH). Live music, $1 hamburger and hot dogs, $2 pints of beer, door prizes and more. I'm looking for 15 to 20 cars.
The bad news is interested parties need to enroll in the Defense Biometric Indentification System (DBIDS). When the enrollment process is successfully completed, you'l receive and pre-enrollment and QR code. I need this information to submit to MCBH in order to gain access to the base. Call me at 808-220-1509 with questions.

Hawaii Kai Town Center's Labor Day show was a success in many ways. Management has asked us to return next year on Memorial Day and Labor Day. That's the good news! The bad news is WE (EEHR) MAY NOT BE AROUND!
Next year would be our 10th year of voluntarily providing what we, and many of you, consider the best car show venues on Oahu. We have always insisted on two basic rules. First, don't come early and second, don't burn out. Both rules are broken/ignored at every one of our shows. Some shows worse than others.
Those of you that came early and parked in the lot on Labor Day disrespect us AND your peers by ignoring the rules. Because those of you broke the, "don't come earyl rules", I only opened two entrance's instead of pulling the tape all around the lot as we've done in the past. This meant that we had to stand in the sun directing traffic which we don't have to do if all the tape is pulled.
To add insult to injury, we had new and old cars, trucks, imports and dune buggy's (1) burning out and/or running through the gears when leaving. That's giving us the middle finger as far as rule two is concerned.
Those of you that know me, know that I seldom bring my car. That's just my choice. We are volunteers who are not paid money. Our pay if you want to consider it as such, is we get to arrive an hour and a half early to setup and we get to park our cars first. So why do I/we do this? FOR YOU TO HAVE A VENUE TO MEET WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND SHOW OFF YOUR CARS?
So what's so hard about following two SIMPLE RULES?
I told those of you I spoke with at the show on Monday, that I would have preferred to be at the beach with my wife and three grandchildren. Instead I'm in the hot sun, with a cane directing traffic. In many ways that's idiotic of me.
THE BOTTOM LINE!!!!
We have two more shows. Windward Mall and Pali Golf course.
Allan, Jimmy and I will decide at our annual dinner in December what our position will be next year.. One of two things will be decided. We either shut EEHR down or we limit classic cars, street rods and muscle cars to a certain year and older. If we decide on the second option, in addition to cars of a certain age and older, we will NOT allow imports or trucks.
For those of you who take umbrage to this, look at yourselves because you caused this dilemma for us.

East End Hot Rods Hawaii Promotion of classic car shows
Just a reminder to pass on to all of those planning to attend our remaining Hawaii Kai, Windward Mall and Pali Golf Coarse cruise night events for the year 2017. We at East End Hot Rods (EEHR) are not happy with what happened at Ron's Performance center with the cars that did burnouts while leaving the event. We keep stressing to everyone about how we disapprove of this. So (EEHR) has meet and have made a decision to evaluate the last 3 events to see if we shut down all of our EEHR events for good. People, we don't know how much we need to stress to everyone the importance about not doing burnouts in or around any of our events. But for some reason we always have that 1 to 2 individuals that don't care about anyone else but themselves. We know the cars that did it at Ron's. So we ask them not to show up if they can't follow our simple rules. Now its up to all of you. The issue is in your hands now. If you want to keep the events going, pass the word around. NO BURNOUTS!
PS. I'm asking for all of you that plan on attending to please pass this word around. If it happens again, we will be forced to shut EEHR down for good. Thank you, Allan Kruse
