Thank you for co-hosting financial-themed read alouds during Financial Literacy Month in April and beyond!

Today, four classrooms at received financial-themed books and a fun read aloud session from the FHB and RTMI team! We hope to be back again!

A special shoutout to Principal Kawahara for gifting us with beautiful lei and Jonathan F. for coordinating read alouds for us.

We’re also grateful for FHB - BOD Treasurer Mike Lukacs, 2025 Feed Me A Story ELT Lisa Tomihama, plus readers Carissa C. and Catherine N. for helping us spread the love and joy of reading aloud. 📚

☀️📚 No better start to our day than with classroom read alouds! RTMI board member Jasmine Gonzalez and Par Hawaii joined us for a morning of reading and imagination at Ewa Elementary School!

We enjoyed reading a variety of books to grades K-3 🧑🏻‍🏫

Sonia Peralta of / has been a longstanding partner for RTMI and we were so thrilled to be invited back today to read aloud to kiddos in her second grade classroom, in addition to four other second grade classes! 📚

The kids and staff were so sweet! 🥺

A special mahalo to Guy Kamitaki of for hosting a golf tournament this past Tuesday with proceeds benefiting Read To Me International Foundation!

We’re also thankful for Joy Shimabukuro of for partnering with us this past year. She provided us with unique and crafty creations for our story-time events.

Executive Director Dannah Barnes first met Guy Kamitaki at Toddler Time at Kahala Mall. He would bring his wife Gail and grandson Bryce to story time! 📚

RTMI Board Member Di Salas & invited Executive Director Dannah Barnes to today’s Aloha United Way event Chocolate Champagne Couture. So much fun!

It was so neat to see our littlest learners getting caught reading at today’s Keiki Time at Pearlridge event!

Families also worked on a gratitude jar activity and received a free book!
