Over 350 years ago Isaac Newton asked the same question that artists do today: How are colors related? His answer came in the form of a color wheel. While studying the properties of light, Newton took the two ends of the visible spectrum (Red and Purple) and joined them together in the form of a circle, creating the basis for our modern day color wheel.
