Got my Brick After Brick 4s!

The leather is amazing. Super smooth and soft and texture the brand used on the hang tag and back tab reminds me of textured walls. It’s a cool contrast but it works! I’m really loving the cut of the 4s since they went more true to the OG cut. I hope they keep this shape for a while.

During the 1997-98 NBA season, the Chicago Bulls debuted their all black jerseys. It was to combat the red pinstripe ones the players complained about in seasons past. The chief complaint was that the polyester material on the pinstripes was stiff and restricted player movement. These new ones were soft and gave more leeway (more on this later). At this time, Nike was also experimenting with Dri-FIT which was a performance fabric designed to wick sweat away from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable.

Unfortunately, the Bulls never wore Dri-FIT aka Nike-FIT jerseys during that Last Dance season. If you zoom in close on any of the jerseys they wore through pictures, it was still traditional mesh. Nike down the line created authentic jerseys for the general public in Nike-FIT so you had both jerseys types to choose from. Personally, I love the Nike-FIT versions because it definitely keeps you cooler and is a material Nike still makes today.

Paired it up with my DS OG Air Jordan 13. I never cared to call them HE Got Games. That came later but it’s whatever. Enjoy!

These are the Bloodline AJ 12. I’ve loved wrestling for as long as I can remember. The Rock, Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker…the list goes on and on. Now that sneakers have become prevalent among wrestlers and the culture, it makes total sense to incorporate these into the storyline. Do you acknowledge your OTC ☝️? You better 😅.

The shoes are done in black leather and varsity red. The subtle hits of that red sets the shoes off proper. I’m still not a fan of the plastic aglets up top. The last time those were any sort of metal has to be with the OGs right? Is this something you’re looking to grab this weekend or are you holding onto hopes of scoring the Brick After Brick 4s and/or Travis Scott 1 lows?

The 2026 Air Jordan 4 Toro Bravo. A first time, well I guess, re-retro of the 2013. It’s been interesting to see more and more first time retros coming back but it’s been a great thing for collectors like myself. This time, the shoes come back in a different shape. I’ll have a comparison review after the official release but off the bat, these have thicker netting, a reshaped tongue and reshaped Jumpman on the patch.

Considering the retro of the Undefeated AJ 4 last year and even some more recent colorways like the Lakers AJ 4, why did the brand decide not to bring these back with Nike Air branding? I thought it would’ve been dope. Nike Air branding on models 3-6 was the original design for the model. It was changed in the mid 2000s and people started getting used to it. So much so that it started to become the norm as brand new colorways began to flourish. Then, OG colorways started looking naked without it and the remastered program came to be. I guess we can speak on that in another post.

Anyways, release for the Toro Bravo AJ 4 is Saturday, May 30 at a retail price of $220. Is it a cop, drop or wait for a sale?

The Air Jordan 3 World’s Best is a tribute to the fathers. MJ and the Chicago Bulls defeated the Seattle Suoersonics to win his 4th NBA championship. It was June 16, 1996 and after a full year back with the Bulls, MJ would be back atop the mountain top but it would be a championship he would celebrate without his father by his side. This shoe highlights the moment but also celebrates all the fathers around the world.

The shoes come with a stand up trophy. No extra laces but the main characteristic here being the locker room graphic in place of the elephant print. I thought it should’ve been cool to have the graphic be a part of the Air Jordan 11 lining instead since the 11 is what MJ wore that season.
