In the early days of DataHouse, one milestone project helped establish the company’s reputation in the public sector — the Hawai‘i Unemployment Insurance (HUI) Benefits System.

At the time, the system was considered one of the most advanced unemployment insurance platforms in the United States. Successfully delivering the project validated the technical strength of the DataHouse team and helped elevate the company’s national profile.

The success of the HUI system also opened the door for DataHouse’s first mainland engagement in Nevada in 1988, marking an important step in the company’s growth beyond Hawai‘i.

Over the years, DataHouse continued supporting public sector organizations across the state, contributing technology solutions for agencies including:

• State of Hawai‘i Unemployment Insurance Division
• Honolulu International Airport
• Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources
• Hawai‘i Department of Health

As we celebrate 50 years of DataHouse, stories like these remind us how the journey began with a commitment to solving complex problems and supporting the communities we serve.
