Crews recently removed six spans of 46kV electrical cable from overhead poles between Puuhale Road and Kalihi Street.

The first video shows our contractor removing de‑energized high‑voltage overhead conductors.

The second video shows crews coiling the conductor onto a wire‑reel machine for safe handling.

New underground 46kV cables are installed and energized.

Mahalo to our contractors for their continued commitment to safety!

Rebar cages used to reinforce the guideway shafts stand about 75 feet tall and weigh over 20,000 pounds.

Here, you can see a rebar cage being carefully lowered into a drilled shaft along Dillingham Boulevard — a precise operation that sets the foundation for the future guideway structure.
