Mauli Ola Initiative

Mahalo to everyone who joined us for our first community workday in 2024! We had so much fun having harvest bags, planting seeds and seedlings, cooking ‘uala leaves, and sharing snacks from the garden!

We had so much fun spending time with Troop 11 - Hawai’i’s first all-wahine Boy Scouts of America troop!

We planted seeds, learned about pollinators and other bugs, and enjoyed being around awesome young leaders!

Happy New Year! We were joined by and this weekend where we enjoyed getting to know each other while also beautifying and weeding our māla! Swipe to the end to see a before and after of our lei garden 🌸

Mahalo nui to everyone who came out to our monthly workday and Garden Bed Building workshop on the third Saturday in July! We had so much fun making garden beds, planting sunflowers and Kalo, making bird seed feeders, and planting new plants in our existing beds and in Kulia māla.

FREE kama’āina event THIS Sunday, July 9th at ‘Iolani Palace will include a session with the incredible Dr. Ka’ahanui!

The workshop will take place between 10am-12pm in the Hale Koa Barracks Theater Room. This event is free for residents and will@include free tours of , live entertainment, educational booths, family friendly activities, and ono food from local eateries.
