In an article, ‘Managing The Psychological Aspects Of The Interview Process’ it is stated that if you are preparing to interview you must not only research and prepare responses to interview questions, but you must consider the fact that while the content of your answers is crucial, so is how you present them which encompasses your attitude and behaviour. Your personality is one of the most essential variables when being recruited for a new job. The better you handle the psychological aspects of an interview, the more likely you are to succeed. Practice strategies like breathing or mindful exercises to instill calmness in yourself as it reflects confidence, try not to promote yourself too hard during an interview and remember that you must be a cultural fit for the job, and be an active participant rather than a passive responder but let the interviewer take the lead and follow the general direction that they’re guiding the conversation in.
