While I am still serving as a Program and Project Manager for several Development Projects and still functioning as a Six Sigma Black Belt to build out a QMS for a Manufacturing firm, I cannot neglect the discoveries I have made in the Cook County Mass Appraisal Model.

I have leveraged the same tools I used in my Engineering days of corporate to objectively identify inconsistencies in Cook County Property Tax Assessments.

Here's the fact that has been proven by the data:

I was recently assigned the role of Project Management Consultant for an ARPA funded project that needed a recovery and ex*****on plan before funding runs dry.

That contract assignment led to another ARPA assignment where I have been tasked to assist in the exact same recovery effort.
What's the point?

Federally funded projects require a certain level of management rigor that many people are not accustomed to and/or comfortable with. The over-the-top, "doing too much" style that many people have criticized me on, is exactly what Federal Program Managers and Stakeholders seek in Project and Program Management...Because a "loosey goosey" managed project could mean a project reimbursement denial, or a funding clawback post-audit.

For everyone pursuing grants, local or federal, please be warned... For whatever reason, Grant Administrators are scrutinizing applications and active projects files more than ever, so it is best to MAKE the time to apply Program and Project Management rigor PRIOR TO starting the project.

You'll thank me later for this insight I am sharing.
