Happy 125th Anniversary West Homestead!
The BIG celebration kicks off TODAY at Calhoun Park, beginning a weekend celebrating 125 years of West Homestead! Fun and games, local history, food, there’s a lot happening throughout the weekend!

Another Valley Gem hiding right in plain sight on 8th Avenue!
You may know Rivers of Steel for the Carrie Blast Furnaces, but have you ever stepped inside their headquarters at the historic Bost Building at 623 E. 8th Avenue in Homestead?
Built in 1892 and once headquarters to the Homestead Strike, today the Bost Building is home to Rivers of Steel and a visitor center filled with Western Pennsylvania history. Explore the Homestead Room, historic artifacts and artwork, restored rooms, rotating gallery exhibitions, and even a 23.5-foot model of the former Homestead Steel Works.
And you CAN visit! Admission is free and open Mon-Fri, 11am - 4pm.
