Volume up πto hear Sabal purring π»
A smelly smell that smells... smelly...
Did you know that opossums actually see the world with their sniffers? π Garyβs sense of smell is his true superpower and it is even stronger than a dogβs! πΆ
He uses that pink snout to find yummy snacks and stay safe in the neighborhood. π
While we use our eyes Gary is busy reading the air like a secret map! πΊοΈ

π¨ UPDATES π¨
We will be uploading a video with our sanctuary curator to discuss Millie's lab work results and the next steps to getting our big girl back on the road to recovery.
We would like to thank EVERYONE who has donated and shared our fundraiser. Here at Everglades Outpost we pride ourselves in our ability to help the community and lend a hand to other non-profit organizations. It has been incredible recieving the same love in our time of need from those of you who have always truly supported our cause.
Millie has began showing more interest in food however she is nowhere near where she needs to be in terms of appetite.
We urge you to please continue sharing our fundraiser and if possible making a donation to Millie's surgery. This was an unexpected situation and we simply cannot do it without you.
As always, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. β€οΈ

Our big boy Rex π the American crocodile π
Rex was brought to us as a nuisance crocodile. Nuisance crocodilians are created by people feeding them in the wild. Once fed, crocodiles/alligators lose their natural fear of humans and begin to associate humans with food. This often times leads to them seeking out and approaching humans in places they wouldn't normally venture off to such as neighborhoods, swimming pools and busy streets. π¬
Thankfully Rex was brought to our sanctuary to be able to safely live out the rest of his life where he enjoys long swims in his pool and his delicious whole prey meals! β€οΈ
