September is Su***de Prevention Month.
If you are suffering from depression or loss and are considering su***de, wait! Talk to someone. If you are too ashamed to see a professional, then reach out and talk to a friend. There is no shame at all in asking for help.

September is Su***de Prevention Month.
As someone who works in the shadows day in and day out in mental health, I'm going to abstain from all the push-up challenges and banal gimmicks and go straight to the heart.
Since March, su***des are up. If you are suffering from depression or loss and are considering su***de, wait! Talk to someone. If you are too ashamed to see a professional, then reach out and talk to a friend.
Veterans, I completely understand that many civilians "don't get it." At least talk to a friend or someone you know who has been there.
Police officers, fire fighters, nurses, doctors and other public servants: There is no shame in asking for help! It is a difficult time, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU FOR NEEDING HELP!
National Su***de Hotline: 1-800-273-8255
Local Mental Health Emergencies: 911 or go to your nearest Hospital.
