Itโ€™s nice to know where our meat comes from, how it was raised, what it was fed and how it was treated through the end of life as well.

Home grown just tastes better.

Literally JUST had a conversation about this!!!

๐Ÿ™Œ

What if one of the biggest lies in the cattle industry is the idea that docility is all about how you handle an animal?

What if true cattlemen understand that the easiest way to create calm cattle is simply to refuse to reproduce the wild ones?

Would anyone want to own a car that has to be serviced daily just to run properly?

What if naturally docile cattle are not just easier to handle, but also more fertile, live longer, and have more tender and flavorful beef?

What if every time an animal runs away from you, crashes through a fence, or tries to attack you, the problem is not that you failed to โ€œhandleโ€ it enough?

What if the real problem started with the breeder before you who created it in the first place?

When you choose Alaska beef, you're doing more than enjoying a great meal. You're supporting local ranching families, strengthening our agricultural community, and helping keep Alaska's working lands productive for future generations.

Once the livestock is out of the winter feedlots, we are able to till and seed those areas with annual cover crops. These will not only help prevent erosion, but will also allow us to utilize the areas for forage in the late summer.
