As those of you in class have noticed I am trying to integrate static isometric exercises into class.
This is one of the many articles I have read about WHY this is beneficial.

I am in Manchester by the Sea, outside of Boston, at a real live Fascia Fitness training! Very new. Well the good news is: we are on the right track! Tomorrow we take toys to the park and play so I think this will bode well with Alaskans! I will take some pictures of the fun that is yet to come.

Thank you friends and Yogis for the great excuse to go to Petersen Bay and retreat at Alaskan Coastal Studies this last weekend! Tide pooling, berry picking and awesome meals, oh yeah and our mindfulness movement practice which ended up largely outdoors! Perfect!

If we are really practicing self-inquiry...inviting ease, pain free mobility and resilience works for me! Avoiding injury (especially in a yoga class!) is way easier than recovering from injury.
