Our motto is "First in fun, at the last place on Earth". We design, plan, organize, and produce fun, community-minded shows, events & fund raisers. PS..

Homer Events is a very different kind of business, and we organize very different kinds of events. In our first six months we brought Outhouse Racing back to Homer after a 37-year absence, organized Homer's 50th Anniversary Celebration, and recently established what we hope will be a new Homer tradition, The End Of The Road Solstice Celebration - complete with Cosmic Rides and Bed Racing. I'd like to say THANK YOU TO OUR 2018 WINTER CARNIVAL SPONSORS... They include Bay Realty, The Grog Shoppe, Nomar, King's Landing Hotel, Best Western, and Northern Enterprises - so far. It is because of these community businesses that Homer Events can plan, promote, and produce the fun stuff that give we lucky enough to live in Homer, the chances to get together and celebrate in fellowship and joy.

Come have some fun and celebrate Homer’s “Homer-ish-ness” at the Mr Homer Pageant, Fri, 2/9, at the Down East Saloon, and of course our Outhouse Races following the Parade on Saturday the 10th.

PLEASE READ THIS! In a post a few days ago I announced that Nick TheGreek had been nominated for Mr Homer. Several people thought that was great, but Nick declined the offer (Just doesn't have time), and I posted that news. I did not mean to say that Nick doesn't help out charities. Not at all, in fact quite the opposite. Nick has done a ton of fund raising for years. He donates a hat full of drink chips for the annual scavenger hunt auction every year, he helps with one of the largest spaghetti feeds all year, and damn his spaghetti is good! Bottom line, Nick is a good guy - one of the best.
If anyone interprets my post about him not doing the Mr H thing as not wanting to help, you're mistaken. It was not intended that way at all. Some people just don't want to get up on stage and do crazy stuff, and I understand that.
Also I apologize to Nick right here if I offended him. That was NOT my intention. All I was saying is he's not in this year. I'm sure he will continue to be one of Homers most giving citizens, as he has for years.
Thank you, Nick for what you do here. You're OK with me!
