Everyone has a unique gift that can be used to help others, and one woman’s gift was able to provide comfort to more than 1,500 people—somewhere beyond the sea.

Whatever his fate, the violin was going with him. It was an engagement gift from his sweetheart, Maria, who had it engraved with these tender words: ​ “For Wallace on the occasion of our engagement from Maria.”

With their engagement, he was hesitant to take the gig at all, but Wallace figured the gig would be good for his resume and create opportunities for future lucrative contracts.

A select cohort of students attending and participated in the mini course entitled “…and the pursuit of Happiness.” This course explored various theories of happiness and government policies designed to promote happiness for its citizens.
