There will be LIVE DUCKS from Duckworld at Dickinson Memorial Library on Wednesday, 6/17 from 3-4pm. Make sure to take a walk around the story walk trail before then to check out One Duck Stuck, and pick up a free take and make duck activity!

Transitions can be challenging for many children, especially when they are asked to stop a preferred activity and move on to something else.

What may look like defiance, refusal, or a meltdown is often a sign that a child is struggling with disappointment, shifting attention, or managing big emotions.

Understanding what may be happening beneath the behavior can help us respond with greater patience and support.
