For our Sycamore Street boys bedroom, we kept the palette grounded and a little nostalgic—soft plaids, ticking stripes, warm brass—so it feels layered, not themed. We also used painted trim at the windows, doors, and baseboards to add subtle interest and depth to the space.

As an interior designer, I really appreciate beautiful gardens and thoughtful landscaping (who doesn’t), but if I’m being honest, I don’t know how to create them. This is still one of my favorite bathrooms. We were intentional with the budget - keeping costs down with a simple floor tile and inexpensive pedestal sinks and investing in the lighting and cabinetry to elevate the entire space.
