Cottage School

So proud of our growing boy who started a one day a week homeschool co-op today. He is getting to take Art, Music, Drama and History at a local Christian school. He was nervous, but he did really well making new friends and branching out a bit into some independence.

A great 5th grade year is in the books!! Onward to Middle School!!!

Flags Flying into Fifth Grade!! (First day obligatory pics!! )
I have felt guilty this week while preparing that I don’t have all the things we usually have to start out a new year. I usually make him a custom shirt, have a little goodie basket ready with fun things like themed stickers, notebooks etc, and we have a first day treat like themed cookies or donuts.
This year was more simple. When I told Cliff last night that I felt bad he said, well this year he has a new house instead, and he’s right. Lol
And at the end of the day it didn’t matter. Campbell loved school today! He really does love to learn and being able to be together just us in our new home is the best gift!
We wouldn’t trade the years we spent in foster care for anything, but we are thrilled to be starting this year in our next chapter with just us! Here’s to fifth grade, the last year of elementary, to new beginnings and to my amazing tweenager!! Thank you, Lord!

Sometimes it’s easy to get down on myself as a homeschool mom and feel guilty for all the things we didn’t get to, but looking back at all these pics I can truly say 4th grade was A Landmark Year!!
