The world's biggest soccer tournament is here -- and we can watch together!

Library F.C. is Hoboken Public Library's free community soccer viewing party series, bringing the beautiful game to our Small Program Room and Garden all tournament long.

First up: Mexico vs. South Africa on Thursday, June 11 at 3:00 PM.
📍 500 Park Avenue, Hoboken
Small Program Room and Garden

Whether you've followed soccer your whole life or you're just getting swept up in the excitement, there's a seat here for you. Light refreshments provided, all ages welcome, and best of all -- completely free.

A few things to know: screenings are held during library operating hours. If a match extends into overtime and conflicts with our closing time, supporters will need to continue watching elsewhere.

Have you thought about what happens if you or someone you love needs long-term care? It's not a comfortable question, but it's an important one.

This past Wednesday, we hosted a free seminar with Andrew D. Lee, FSCP, CLTC of New York Life Insurance Company and Heidi Conlin, Esq. of Marciano Law. A full room of Hoboken residents came ready to learn about long-term care insurance, wills, trusts, and estate planning.

Miss it? Check hobokenlibrary.org for upcoming programs. This is what your library is here for.

Thank you, Ona!

Horror/Thriller May Book Club Pick: Dead First by Johnny Compton 06/04/2026

Horror/Thriller May Book Club Pick: Dead First by Johnny Compton

From the moment the fire poker went straight through billionaire Saxton Braith’s head (this happens almost immediately), I was hooked. Talk about an inciting incident to hook us. What's more? He survived and literally cannot die! Hell of a case for private investigator Shyla Sinclair. Millions of dollars and personal stakes are on the table. I was intrigued by how the author would weave supernatural ambiguity with nitty-gritty detective noir, and I was pleased with how these genres meshed in certain parts....

What an honor to be part of the Hoboken Memorial Day Parade today!

Hoboken Public Library rolled through the streets of our city with a float celebrating 250 years of America -- and paying special tribute to Martha Bayard Stevens, the remarkable woman who founded the Hoboken Public Library in 1890. Her vision, dedication, and love for this community is why we exist today, and we are so proud to carry her legacy forward.

Thank you to everyone who lined the streets and cheered us on, to our incredible staff and volunteers who showed up with so much heart, and to Hoboken Historical Museum and the city of Hoboken for putting on a parade worthy of the occasion.

We honor and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this country. 🤍
