Still from The Last Ride with mvisionfilms - We filmed the silhouetted interview at one of the homes on the block. The red curtains behind the subject were blocking two large windows that were facing the street. We then used Arri 650 and 300w fresnels on the background to give the subject separation. Then a Kino Flo was flagged at the top so no spill would get on the subject’s face.
“This dude left us.” A heartbreaking scene from The Last Ride where tells us the moment he realized his friend was killed on the streets. mvisionfilms and I shot this scene in a kitchen with minimal fresnel lighting that was gelled with 216 and wrapped in cine foil. Both cameras were right next to each other because we were placed squarely in the doorway to the kitchen.

Happy ! Here are still shots from The Last Ride featuring 61 Mont, Tu Stroke Prince, and Jay Ridehard. I love the rule breaking framing we did for Mont’s master and low angle MCU, and how we sculpted the natural light for Jay’s bedroom scene. Prince was always a pleasure to work with; whenever we needed something he was there for us.
From the streets to the dirt. In the The Last Ride the owners of Cross Road Motorsports sponsors the Philly street riders and gets them onto the dirt tracks outside of the city.
“It’s easy for us of privilege just to say what other people should do, how they should act. Walk a mile in their shoes.”
In this scene, Dirt Bike Rell’s attorney Michael P. Quinn explains how the riders of the streets know “that tomorrow they may not be here.” From The Last Ride with mvisionfilms and DALTON PRICE, SOC - We lit the interior shot with Michael using gelled kino flos with a short throw and Arri fresnels. We had to move some furniture around his office to place our lights because it was a smaller space than depicted in the film.

Still shots with for The Last Ride - We shot this with a Canon 5D MkII & 7D, using an old tripod slider and tracks on the street from mvisionfilms - The exterior shot’s light was shaped with a circular bounce, silk, and flags. Inside we used two 4ft 2bk kino flo lights with diffusion for the face and hair light, and an arri 300 fresnels to create separation on the background. Graded by Jason Druss
“In these back lots, these little streets, these dark alleys, there are children with dreams. There are children with ambition and goals. But they have no vision, no sight on how to achieve it, because they have no outlets.” Coming soon on 6/19/26. Clip from Theslayer with mvisionfilms Jason Druss DALTON PRICE, SOC

“Death Match” - still shots from The Last Ride Additional shots featuring the King of 95’s mom waiting for her son to come home from jail, and an interior car shot as the riders return home from trip on the dirt.
“You hear them-doo-doo-doo-doo. And you hear that chopper hovering around you, that’s real bike life.” This interview for The Last Ride was shot in a tiny garage with reflectors bouncing harsh overhead light through large silks. There were several flags on either side of the camera to cut down on the ambient light from spilling into the scene.

Getting the story for The Last Ride from every perspective. We were at the Philadelphia Police Department Headquarters with Kevin Bethel, the deputy commissioner discussing his life and the dangers of dirt bike riders on the streets. We lit this shot with several 4ft 2 bank kino flows, diffused with 216, and skirted on each end.
