Today, Thanksgiving Day.
This is the day we focus on being grateful, thankful and blessed. Maybe you’re thankful for a person, a memory or maybe something as simple as your morning coffee. Continue to be grateful, continue to move forward everyday with a thankful heart and continue to feel blessed. Spread the love. Spread the happiness. Give thanks, not just today on Thanksgiving Day, but give thanks Everyday!

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has made a donation of food! Today we were blessed with a donation of a ton of items in our pantry! Stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, rice and vegetables. We want to take this opportunity to say thanks!! 🧡♥️🧡

This Pantry is located outside of Community of Christ, 8629 Kennedy Avenue Highland, In 46322. The Little Free Pantry is outside and accessible 24/7, to help those who are less fortunate, without the pressure of contacting someone for help. The Little Free Pantry motto is take what you need and leave what you can. Please feel free to drop off non-perishable, unexpired items to our church. We will be accepting food donations at the church on Saturday, September 21st between 9am-2pm. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Sound The Alarm!!

One of our partners in NWI, The American Red Cross, is putting out a call for volunteers to help with the project "Sound the Alarm." This is a multiple day event taking place in two locations and we're asking all of our community partners to help spread the word and get volunteers for this weekend. Here are the details:

What: installing smoke detectors in over 1300 homes in vulnerable areas (where fire fatalities have taken place).

Where and When:
Elkhart, IN, Saturday, 4/27/19, 12pm-4pm
South Bend, IN, Sunday, 4/28/19, 1pm-5pm
South Bend, IN, Monday, 4/29/19, 3pm-7pm

Please note: this is an Event Based Volunteer Opportunity. Agreeing to help with this event does not obligate you to be a long-term ARC volunteer. That said, ongoing volunteers are needed and appreciated if you are so inclined!!

We know this is short notice, but they are short volunteers in these areas, and they helped us when we needed help.
