This is a relatively new award, only in its third year, in which we recognize an individual who has consistently supported the FACC since joining and is seen as an emerging leader for the Chamber in years to come. Lindsay is engaged and enthusiastic at events and truly carries out the work for, and is an advocate for, the Chamber. She has been involved as an Ambassador, volunteered at events, and most recently has served as Chair of the Music Trivia Night event committee.
If you cannot attend you can still donate to this wonderful cause that brings many smiles to the less fortunate children in our community.

***WINTER STORM WATCH COVERS THE ENTIRE AREA FOR LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY***
***MAJOR WINTER STORM TO BRING SIGNIFICANT SNOW, SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN ACROSS THE REGION WITH MAJOR TO EXTREME IMPACTS TO TRAVEL AND DAILY ACTIVITIES LIKELY***
Confidence in a high impact event affecting the entire region continues to grow this morning...although major uncertainty exists in terms of the exact form the winter precip will take...especially along the I-44 and I-70 cooridors...which unfortunately includes all of metro STL. What follows below are my initial thoughts on accumulations...
Starting north of I-70 in the white shaded region... the precip will start as rain Tuesday but change to snow Tuesday night. Several waves of moderate to heavy snow are likely through Thursday morning with total accumulations of 9 to 12 inches possible.
Further south in the transition zone... confidence in the types of winter precipitation is low... so this is the region where the forecast may change the most leading up to the event. Any small deviations in the amount of cold air (and warm layer) in the clouds could mean much more sleet and less snow... or vice versa. For that reason, don't focus so much on the exact numbers... focus on the impacts which will major either way! For the blue transition zone... expect rain Tuesday into Tuesday night. The rain will transition to sleet and possibly some snow in time for the AM rush Wednesday with major impacts possible. Periods of sleet...mixed at times with snow will continue Wednesday before a final switch to all snow late in the day Wednesday. Accumulations of sleet will be quite impressive with 1-2 inches of sleet possible...then an additional 5-7 inches of snow. Again... even a half degree to a degree difference could bring the snowfall down and the sleet up...or vice versa.
In the light pink zone... we move more into an ice storm situation with the primary impacts coming late Wednesday into Wednesday night and Thursday. Precip here will change from rain to freezing rain Wednesday...and then a mix of freezing rain and sleet Wednesday night and eventually snow late Wednesday night. Significant icing of 1/4 inch or greater is possible in addition to either a heavy sleet or light snow accumulation. Power outages may become a concern by Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Finally... in the far southern/southeastern counties...shaded in red... we are primarily looking at freezing rain with an outisde shot at a transition to sleet and then snow Thursday. Accumulations of freezing rain may exceed 1/4 of an inch with power outages possible as winds increase Thursday morning.

***POST IS OUTDATED***
Widespread accumulating snow is expected late Friday through Saturday. A Winter Storm Watch was issued for northeast MO and west-central IL where the heaviest snow is expected, but other areas are likely to see impactful snow as well. Have a look at the map to see the latest snow forecast for your area, and head on over to www.weather.gov/lsx for a more detailed forecast. Be sure to plan ahead!
