She wasn't sure if she should or not.. she did just have engagement photos done. She decided to do it... to celebrate this huge accomplishment, and I am oh so glad she did. Love capturing this young woman and all of her amazing seasons

I spend so much time behind the camera…
seeing women in ways they don’t see themselves.

Her beauty.
Her light.
The way she shows up… even when life feels heavy.

But the real shift doesn’t happen in the photo.

It happens when she takes the time
to sit with herself…

to remember her worth,
to trust what she feels,
to stop questioning what doesn’t feel right.

Because the moment she sees it clearly…
everything starts to align.

You don’t need to become more.
You just need to see what’s already there.

And while we are raising other women up …. This week I want to share another artist with camera with you

It’s about the voice in your head that says
“not right now”
“maybe when I look better”
“maybe when life slows down”

And it never does.

So you stay behind the camera.
You crop yourself out.
You wait.

This isn’t about fixing how you look.

This is about showing you
that you were never the problem.

I don’t think we realized it at the time.

How free we were.

Laughing for no reason.
Staying out too late.
No kids waiting at home.
No bills running through our heads.

Just… us.

We took those moments for granted.
Because we thought there would always be more of them.

And now?

Life is fuller.
Beautiful, but heavier.
Different.

And it makes me realize how important it is to still create moments like this.

To laugh like that again.
To be carefree again.
To have photos that don’t just show what you looked like…
but remind you who you were.

Best friend sessions matter more than we think.

I told her there was a joy about her that was absolutely beautiful…
and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

I’ve been blessed enough to capture Rori’s joy before.
Years ago, in her senior photos that same light was there.

But this time… it’s different.

This is the kind of joy that comes from stepping into a new season.
From being deeply loved.
From knowing who you are and who you’re building a life with.

It’s the kind of joy you don’t have to force.
It just shows up.

And while that joy is hers…
you can see how he meets her in it.
How he adds to it.
How he holds it.

And that’s what I get to capture.

Not just what it looks like
but what it feels like to be in this season of your life.

Before the baby, we are one version of ourselves

And somewhere in between the sleepless nights and tiny fingers wrapped around ours…
A new version of us is born.

That’s what I love about photographing new parents.

Motherhood isn’t just a season of life.
It’s a transformation.

And years from now, when that baby girl is grown, these photographs will remind her:
