Cover the City Project
Cover the City Project strives to cover it's cities literally and physically with love, encouragemen
Cover the City Project was started in 2013 by Amanda Anderson. Throughout her time as a volunteer at Open Door Ministries it was brought to her attention that several people needed some type of warmth throughout the winter months in the shelter and even outside of the shelters. CTC is an annual blanket drive held every November to help shelters all over with the need of blankets. A blanket is some

What a day! 🧦❤️
A huge THANK YOU to all of our nonprofit partners, volunteers, and community supporters who joined us for another successful sock distribution at Cover the City Project. Because of your generosity, thousands of pairs of socks will make their way into the hands of neighbors who need them most.
Socks may seem small, but they are one of the most requested items among those experiencing homelessness—and together, we are helping cover our city with warmth and love.
We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up, serve, and care for others so well.
Stay tuned… another distribution date is coming in July! We can’t wait to continue making an impact together. 🧦✨

🧦💙 Supporting those who serve our city. 💙🧦
We are honored to donate socks to the High Point Police Department. While socks may seem simple, they are an everyday necessity—and we hope this donation serves as a small gesture of appreciation and support for the officers who work tirelessly to keep our community safe.
We are grateful for the dedication, sacrifice, and service of HPPD and are thankful for the opportunity to give back to those who give so much to our city each day.
Together, we continue our mission to cover our city with warmth and love. ❤️

After nearly a decade at First Baptist Church, a new chapter is beginning for Cover the City Project. 🤍
Since 2017, First Baptist Church has been more than just a building to us — it has been a place where blankets were stacked high, socks were sorted with love, volunteers gathered, and countless lives were impacted through kindness and community.
We are incredibly grateful for the partnership, generosity, and support FBC has shown our mission over the years. Because of them, we’ve been able to help cover cities with warmth and love in ways we never imagined possible.
As our organization continues to grow and evolve, and FBC prepares to embark on their new home- the time has come for us to begin searching for our new home. We plan to remain at First Baptist Church through September while we begin this next season.
This is bittersweet… but also exciting. We believe the right space is out there, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for Cover the City Project.
If you know of a potential space, partnership opportunity, warehouse, office, or building that may fit our needs, we would love to connect.
Thank you for walking alongside us every step of this journey. The mission continues — and this next chapter is just beginning. 🫶

Yesterday was a beautiful reminder that small acts of kindness create big impact. 🧦❤️
Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we had another successful sock distribution day serving our neighbors in need — and we were also able to fill the blessing box with socks to make sure help continues beyond just one day.
There’s something powerful about watching people come together to care for one another. Every pair donated represents warmth, dignity, and love for someone who may be struggling.
To everyone who donates, volunteers, sorts, delivers, and supports our mission — thank you for helping us continue to cover our city with warmth and love.

WOW. Just wow. 🧦🤍
A HUGE thank you to our incredible partners at Sock Club for this amazing donation of MORE THAN 20,000 pairs of socks to help us continue covering cities with warmth and love through Cover the City Project.
These socks are now ready to make their way into the hands of individuals and families who need them most — and moments like this are only possible because of the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners who believe in this mission alongside us.
We also want to give a special thank you to the volunteers who helped unload the truck today and to Open Door Ministries for assisting us with their box truck and helping make this delivery possible!
